Leah Daughetee
Ms. Daughetee was admitted to the California State Bar in 2007. Her practice focuses on criminal defense and family law.
Ms. Daughetee is a graduate of the University of the Pacific McGeorge School of Law where she was a member of the Traynor Honor Society and Women’s Caucus. She also represented McGeorge in student negotiations competitions, placing second in the 2006 American Bar Association Regional Negotiation Competition and in the top ten in the 2006 American Bar Association National Negotiation Competition.
During law school, Ms. Daughetee worked as a judicial extern for Justice M. Kathleen Butz of the California Court of Appeal, Third Appellate District. She also clerked in the Legal Affairs Department of the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, the Yavapai County Public Defender’s Office in Prescott, Arizona, and worked as a research assistant for a Wills and Trusts Professor.
Ms. Daughetee earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in English from Hendrix College in 2001, and a bachelor’s degree in Social Science from the University of North Texas in 2004.
Prior to joining the Law Office of Daniel Jensen, Ms. Daughetee was a solo practitioner whose practice was devoted to both family law and criminal defense. She has also worked extensively with the Pro Bono Project of Silicon Valley as a volunteer attorney.
Ms. Daughetee is an active member of the Santa Clara County Bar Association, serving as the Secretary of the Barrister’s Executive Committee and as a member of the Law Related Education Committee and the Family Law Section. She is a 2008 graduate of the SCCBA Barrister’s Leadership Program. Ms. Daughetee is also a volunteer mentor for VIP Mentors, and is a member of the VIP Advisory Committee.
