Three Mexican Immigrants Accused of Drug Possession

Posted on February 25th, 2011 No Comments

Three immigrants from Mexico were recently arrested on charges of drug possession, intent to sell, and weapons possessions and are currently being held in jail without bail.

Police officers had received numerous complaints about an apartment in which the men lived. The officers obtained a search warrant for the apartment where they found large quantities of methamphetamine and marijuana, as well as several firearms. They believe that the drugs were packaged to distribute to others.

Defendants of the three men have said that the apartment where the paraphernalia was found was not rented by any of the suspects, and the suspects had only been staying at the apartment for a couple of days before they were arrested. The three men are pleading not guilty and have immigration holds placed on them while they await trial.

Cops Bust National Prescription Drug Ring

Posted on November 3rd, 2008 No Comments

Dayton, OH–Cops have busted a prescription drug ring based in Ohio run by a doctor and 16 other accomplices. The way the scheme worked was that the “doctor” would collect a $100 fee from “patients.” In return, the “patients” would receive a prescription for what is knows as a 360 degree cocktail, a mix of various prescription drugs. Then, those “patients” would resell those drugs at the street level.

Drugs from the ring are believed to have been sent as far Florida and have a total value around $5 million.

The police investigation began several weeks after the “doctor” came into business and lasted for 11 month. Police have found no evidence that the “doctor” treated real patients.
