Judge Orders Willie Nelson to Sing to Get Off Drug Charges

Posted on March 30th, 2011 No Comments

Following his arrest for the possession of marijuana, Willie Nelson was told by a Texas judge that he could play one of his famous songs, “Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain,” as a get-out-of-jail free card.

The judge is now clearing up the comment as a simple joke. However, Nelson will not receive jail time. He will plead guilty to the charge of possession of marijuana and will be ordered to pay a small fine that will be less than the usual $2,000 fine. This will all be done outside of a courtroom.

Three Mexican Immigrants Accused of Drug Possession

Posted on February 25th, 2011 No Comments

Three immigrants from Mexico were recently arrested on charges of drug possession, intent to sell, and weapons possessions and are currently being held in jail without bail.

Police officers had received numerous complaints about an apartment in which the men lived. The officers obtained a search warrant for the apartment where they found large quantities of methamphetamine and marijuana, as well as several firearms. They believe that the drugs were packaged to distribute to others.

Defendants of the three men have said that the apartment where the paraphernalia was found was not rented by any of the suspects, and the suspects had only been staying at the apartment for a couple of days before they were arrested. The three men are pleading not guilty and have immigration holds placed on them while they await trial.
